All sorts of people live in Omotesando.
In this city, can we distinguish a difference between Main-culture and Sub-culture, or Majority and Minority clearly? I think it is no use to draw a line in these various things.
So in this building, I designed a “tube” as a public space. The tube which follows axes in the city makes it possible to intersect various people, cultures, and boundaries.

表参道にいる人々の多様さには目をみはるものがある。この街は、メイン/サブカルチャー、マジョリティ/マイノリティといった線引きが不必要であることを、教えてくれているのではなかろうか。
表参道を貫く二つの軸、参道と渋谷川が交差するこの場所に、公共空間としての「チューブ」を構想した。都市の軸線を引き込んで配置された「チューブ」は、街と建築、人々のコミュニケーションに新たなモードを提示する。
